I have decided to create a blog to share stories of being a Stay-at-Home dad. There are alot of looks and comments that I get as a Stay-at-Home dad that I would not get if I was a Stay-at-Home mom. Take for example the address of this blog, icandressmykids. This is based on a trip to Target with my daughter before she had two younger brothers. I had her dressed up in a cute little pink sporty Reebok outfit with a pink Old Navy ball cap and pink baby tennis shoes. As I was checking out, the cashier told me what a cute baby she was and then added this gem, "Oh, I love her outfit. Mommy must have dressed her." I responded, "No, Daddy did. I know how to dress my daughter." The look on the cashiers face was priceless.
I am not out to change everyone's view of the Stay-at-Home dad. I can only hope that those people who have a preconceived notion of what dad's are capable of see what my wife and 3 children see... that I am a good daddy.

We could not be any more prouder of our son Joe if he were a rocket scientist or brain surgeon. He not only is an amazing father and husband he is an amazing person. He has given up his career to take care of his three children (who adore him). He works very late nights into the morning on week days and very early mornings on weekends so his children are never without their mother or father.
He is a HERO to us.
